Willingboro & Cavalcade Jazz Championships 2014

The Camden Creative Arts Jazz Band  was back at it this past weekend competing at the Willingboro High School Jazz Festival on Friday night receiving a Gold rating for their performance and they also were awarded the Best Sections Awards for the Trumpet, Trombone and Saxophone . It was great to be back at the Willingboro Jazz Festival and look forward to returning in the near future. 

On Saturday the band headed to Souderton Area High School to compete in the Duke Ellington Division of the Cavalcade of Bands 2014 Jazz Championships. The band received a rating of Superior with Honors for their performance. Best Section Awards went to the Trumpet and Trombone sections. Junior Trombonist Michael Spearman and Senior Bari Sax player, Dominique Baugh were named outstanding Soloist for the evening. And finally for the 3rd time in 4 years The Camden Creative Arts Jazz Band was named the 2014 Duke Ellington Division Dick Scott Award for being the overall Champion.  Congratulations on a job well done!!!!!!!
