About the boosters
The Band Booster for the Creative Arts is a parent group that helps support the Creative Arts Band of Camden, NJ started in 2006. The parent group supports the instrumental music program and are dedicated to enriching the quality and enjoyment Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy Jazz Band students by donating our time, talents and resources to assist with fundraising, chaperoning and band program needs, and the promotion of band student excellence.
Teamwork....is what it takes to have a successful band program. Our team consists of reliable students, committed parents, generous community sponsors and a dedicated Band Directors. When you were in high school do you remember that one class, sport or club that you lived for? Well, our Creative Arts Jazz Band have the same desire to be the best and show school pride through their art.
As we all know....the funds for public school arts programs are constantly being cut. Funds received from the County are in the form of salaries and facilities. That means the students and parents must raise the additional funds required for a successful year. We want to assure you that it is not our intention to simply ask for a hand-out. We are not only preparing these students to play music. We are preparing them to become extraordinary musicians, students and citizens. We emphasize the importance of team work, problem solving and personal responsibility.
It's easy....to sponsor the Creative Arts Jazz Band. It has been our experience that business leaders appreciate the opportunity to join in local activities that promote positive youth involvement. Thank You....in advance for your support of our band program. We look forward to representing your businesses and our community.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of BBCA is to provide information and support to families of students participating in any of the band programs at Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy with special emphasis placed on;
The purpose of BBCA is to provide information and support to families of students participating in any of the band programs at Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy with special emphasis placed on;
- To Arouse and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of the band program at Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy.
- To lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to the band programs in the school grades 9th through 12th in cooperation with the Music Director(s), Administration, and Board of Education.
- Foster cooperation, communication, and closer contact between the students’ home and school in order that their parents/guardian may effectively encourage their children’s musical education/training.
- To cooperate with those in charge of the Band and Performing Arts Department while maintaining the highest possible degree of efficiency in order to build and maintain an organization which will help to promote the general activities of the Band and Performing Arts Department.
- BBCA is a support group only when together at a meeting of the Duly Elected Officers and/or meeting of the General Membership. Other than during these meetings, or committee work, they are only individual parents voicing opinions not as representatives of the Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy Band Boosters.
- The organization shall be non-partisan.
MEMBERSHIP
The membership of this organization is open to any parent, guardian, or family member of an incoming, current, or former member of the Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy Band program. Current students are not eligible for membership. Parents and/or guardians of children who are currently enrolled in a Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy Band program shall be automatically considered members in good standing, so long as their dues are current and paid in full. Only a member in good standing may vote on issues brought before the membership, and only one vote per family will be accepted. While students are encouraged to attend all general meetings and to voice their opinions, they are not eligible to vote.
