The band was named best overall band for the festival. The best part of the week was our first annual jazz festival featuring Eastern High School, Lower Merion High School and Pennsbury High school Jazz Bands in competition. We also had a exhibition from Dr. Brimm Medical Arts High School's jazz band. Our very special guest from Ohio was the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble who also provided a small clinic for all the instrumental students as well as a great performance on the stage. What am I talking about, All the bands were great!!!!

Congratulations on your first jazz festival. Adding the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble to the mix was very exciting; especially since two of Camden's own, were part of Oberlin's prestigious band. The message was clear - hard work, talent and determination are rewarded. It's the hope message Mr. D continually reinforces with his students.
