Shawnee Jazz Festival

The Camden Creative Arts Jazz band open their 2013 Jazz Band season last night
at Shawnee High School beating out the oncoming snow storm that hit the area.
Great , great job by the Shawnee Jazz Band and band parents for putting on a
great festival and getting everyone out before the snow. The Creative Arts Jazz
Band received a GOLD rating for their performance and won best
section awards for the trombone and saxophone sections  Rising star Nala Johnson
won a outstanding soloist award for her performance on trumpet and
vocals.Congratulations on a great start to the season. Next up , the band will
be traveling to Rockville MD to compete at the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival High
School Big Band and Combo competitions. All the best in Rockville.
